Baltimore Comic Con is coming October 10-11. We will be there with an incredible array of art (our biggest display yet); if you are looking for anything specific, let us know so we can make sure we have it there for you. MARVEL art is here! A new fine art program featuring classic Marvel images has begun. Check out our New Releases to get a glimpse of the new imagery, which includes a couple of Kirby covers (RARE giclées on canvas signed by Stan Lee), a Glen Orbik Spider-man piece (giclée on paper), a Jim Lee X-men giclée on canvas, and an amazing Silver Surfer piece by Gabriell Dell'Otto (my personal favorite). There are other images available (Iron Man by Joe Quesada, Ghost Rider by Clayton Crain, Spider-man by Todd McFarlane) so order NOW. We want to support this line and perhaps do an exclusive at the end of this year, or first quarter next year. Email us your requests!

SDCC has come and gone. Thanks to all of you that made it such a success. All art purchased at the show will be shipping within the next two weeks. My framer is the best in the business so he will be knocking the art out to you ASAP.

We got so busy prepping for the show that we weren't able to do a decent update BEFORE the show, so we are doing one now!

We were able to premiere a gorgeous giclee on paper by the legendary JERRY ROBINSON, featuring a faithful reproduction of his classic Detective Comics 69 cover! The piece is entitled Harelequin's Hoax and is IN STOCK.

ADAM HUGHES was yet again our best seller, as we sold several MEOW pieces and even more of the LAST DAUGHTER OF ALDERAAN Star Wars Celebration 2007 exclusive. JIM LEE was a close second, as we sold several Batman Over San Prospero on canvas as well as some RARE Legendary Heroes pieces on canvas (an incredible collaboration with Alex Ross).

NEW SKETCHBOOKS: We were able to secure precious few of the new ALEX ROSS 2008 Sketchbook, so email me right away if you want one. UPDATE: The Ross sketchbooks have been selling consistently on ebay for $50-$60 for us, so you may want to act now before we bump the price UP on the site!

Last but not least, our good friend MARK McHALEY was at our booth in San Diego all weekend long, and we were happy to showcase his new General Grievous print that was exclusive to the Star Wars Celebration show in Tokyo this year!

We have begun listing items on eBay from the collection of a dear friend that passed away in July. There are a handful of art pieces, but the bulk of the collection is an incredible array of Golden Age, Silver Age, and even some Bronze Age comics. Check them out (eBay seller ID: HFA Gallery). UPPER DECK has announced the release of a new Alex Ross image on canvas and paper. It features 24 Marvel characters, and looks a tad similar to the "Marvel Unleashed" image (I like this new one better, though). I'm awaiting information on what I can offer these for, and I hear that they will finally be ready at the end of August. Check back for more updates on this development.

We have signed JLA: Liberty and Justice plates as well as signed Superman/Flash plates still available on a limited basis. These sell briskly at conventions, so if you want one before we run out please let us know ASAP! We also have our shipment of Batman Family plates in (unsigned). We expect the "Hard Traveling Heroes" (Green Lantern/Green Arrow) plates to be release in August or September.

ALEX ROSS has created a new Wonder Woman piece that is being produced as a giclee on canvas AND a giclee on paper. Customers that purchased either Superman: Mythology, Batman: Mythology, or both get first dibs on this new WW piece so lock in on your matching number now or it will be sold to someone else...there is a long list of people that are trying to buy this piece!!

SAN DIEGO CON is here! Our booth number is 1121, and we will be having several signings again with Neal Adams, Alex Horley, and Arthur Suydam. We will have lots of "exclusive" product and will also have the National Cartoonist Society Portfolios for sale. Speaking of which...

We recently acquired the remaining inventory from Collector's Press, which included the NCS Portfolios! This company published beautiful artwork in the late 1970s and early 1980s. You may have noticed a few auctions on ebay, and we will be showcasing this art at all the major conventions this year including San Diego, Chicago, and the National Con in New York. Email us for a link that showcases the NCS Portfolios as well as the Will Eisner Spirit Portfolios and the Wally Wood Sci-Fi Portfolios!!

Please bear with us as we make some major changes to the HFA website. We are constructing easier navigation, and hope to implement a shopping cart and other tweaks to make browsing and purchasing easier! We will be adding hundreds of items and trying to update the status of our inventory.
